Installation settings
Install the network card on the computer and make the settings. For example, if the transceiver is 100M, you can set one of the network cards to adaptive and the other to 100M. Connect the power supply to the transceiver, and connect the power supply strictly according to the requirements of the manual. Use twisted-pair cables to connect the computer and the transceiver. Both twisted-pair cables should be twisted. Use optical jumpers to connect the two transceivers. If the transceiver is single-mode, the jumper should also be single-mode. When the optical jumper is connected, one end is connected to RX, and the other end is connected to TX, so cross-connection.
Judging from the status of the indicator light, when the power is connected, the power light (POWER) should be on, the twisted pair cable is connected, the line light (LINK) should be on, and the optical fiber is connected, the input and output light signal lights (RX, TX) should be on. If only the power light is on, it means that the network card setting is incorrect. Check the setting software.
The line light does not light up, it may be that the straight-through twisted pair cable is not plugged in firmly, the light signal light does not light up, it may be that the optical fiber is connected upside down, just change the two ports; or the optical fiber interface is too dirty, wipe it with alcohol; or If it is not connected firmly, plug it in again. CISCO's 100M switch needs to be set to full duplex when in use, otherwise the light is normal but not working. LANCAST 6318-75 and 6318-76 will not work after replugging and unplugging the power supply. 10M/100M adaptive H switch has a network management port, which can be dedicated The connection to the computer can be controlled through the direct cable connection of WINXP and the hyper terminal (set by the customer). At this time, the transceiver should be connected, otherwise the transceiver is faulty.
