After the optical fiber is colored, the following requirements should be met

- Jul 22, 2020-

1. The color of the colored optical fiber does not migrate or fade (the same is true for wiping with MEK or alcohol).

2. The optical fiber cable is neat, flat, not disorderly or crimped.

3. The optical fiber attenuation index meets the requirements, and there is no step in the OTDR test curve.

The equipment used in the optical fiber coloring process is an optical fiber coloring machine, which consists of an optical fiber pay-off part, a coloring mold and an ink supply system, an ultraviolet curing oven, traction, optical fiber take-up and electrical control parts. The main principle is that the ultraviolet curing ink is coated on the surface of the optical fiber through a colored mold, and then fixed on the surface of the optical fiber after curing in an ultraviolet curing oven to form an optical fiber that is easy to separate colors. The ink used is UV curable ink.
